Today morning at approximately 8:20am, a nasty accident happened in Entebbe alongside the Nkumba traffic lights claiming the life of the person who was occupying a car called Okiot Raphael. The car white in color, has been identified as Mitsubishi RVR Registration number UBQ 371P.

The driver of the truck is currently behind bars as investigations into the matter take shape Apparently he was arrested by SFC soldiers as he tried to flee the scene after causing the accident.
Information has it that the cars were on a halt at the Nkumba traffic lights waiting for green lights to flash. These had been held up and awaited to be released to go. It was here that this construction truck came swerving through after losing control.
It then hit the road pavers that separate the road leading to and from Entebbe Airport. From the eyewitnesses accounts, faulty mechanical condition of this heavy truck is what caused the accident. However, others blamed failure to read the traffic lights properly.
Meanwhile some said that the traffic lights are poorly positioned. It’s at times difficult for motorists and other road users to notice them properly.
