Uganda famous chef Dorcus Basheba Kirabo aka Mama D is still pushing on with her attempt to break the Guinness World Record of the Longest Cooking Marathon by an individual (Cookathon). As you read this, she has so far made 47 hours of cooking.
This takes her on the road to make 192 hours, a target she is pushing for. It should be remembered that, Mama D attempted this same record last year in December and she wasn’t confirmed to be the holder of the record by Guinness World Records.
In her Cookathon, Mama D reveals that all the dishes she cooks are recorded and the time she spends preparing any meal. So far, she has made more than 20 dishes and she is still cooking. Among the dishes she has so far done, there is pillau, fish dishes, chicken katogo and more.

It should be known that, whatever dish she makes, it is eaten by the revelers available at the venue and the rest is taken on to the streets to feed the hungry that don’t have what to eat. Many Ugandans have since flocked High Note bar and grill located in Kireka, Kamuli road to witness this being done.
