KAMPALA: In a bid to buy Uganda Build Uganda (BUBU), the ministry of Internal Affairs has called upon foreign nationals to stop interfering with the prostitution industry and leave it to Ugandans. Speaking to the press, the Ministry’s Spokesperson, Simon Mundeyi said that this trend is on the rise.
He added that they have received numerous complaints from Ugandan ladies on how these nationals have taken over their spaces. The men no longer want to buy the locals and instead go for the foreign ones.
Additionally, Mundeyi said that they decided to do a follow up on this and found that it is indeed true. They found several foreign women lined up alongside streets in Kansanga and Kabalagala selling themselves. These even line at the entrance of Kampala International University (KIU).
“We have received numerous complaints from Ugandan ladies who took it upon themselves to come here and report how these foreigners are taking over their prostitution business. We decided to follow up the matter and found that it’s true. Several foreign women lined up at the entrance of the university and are causing loss to the Ugandan ones. We therefore believe that some businesses such as this one should be left to Ugandans,” said Mundeyi.

It should be noted that the areas of Kabalagala, Kansanga, Gaaba and the surrounding areas are heavily occupied by Ethiopian, Somali and Eritrean nationals. And their striking beauty is of course a threat to their Ugandan counterparts in the same business.
