KAMPALA: The National Unity Platform (NUP) has been denied permission to use Kololo Ceremonial Grounds in commemoration of the 4 years anniversary. A letter signed by Kallu Sam the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Defense and Veteran Affairs said that this request was not possible.
According to this letter, NUP had sought permission to use the grounds on the 22nd of July to celebrate 4 years since the party was unveiled back in2020. The letter further clarified the reason on why these grounds would not be available to the party.
According to Kallu Sam, the infrastructural developments taking place there are the reasons why the venue won’t be available to the Bobi Wine led party. It’s not clear if they will now look for another venue.
