Family of the late Kato Lubwama Paul has sued singer Mukasa Yasin alias Lil Pazzo for copyright infringement. This came after Pazzo became so much obsessed with fellow singer Irene Ntale and decided to throw musical lines for her, and ended up redoing Lubwama’s song and called it Irena Weee.
The song Lil Pazzo redid is called Kilabe Ebiiso originally done by Kato Lubwama, and the family of Kato has made demands through their lawyers and asked Lil Pazzo to immediately delete the song from all his social media platforms and other streaming websites.
Additionally, the comical singer was also told to pay 300m shillings to the family of the late. He also has to pay a separate 20m shillings for the costs incurred so far I this case. Furthermore Lil Pazzo was told to follow the instructions in this notice in 14 days from its issuance. If he doesn’t, they will be prompted to follow further legal procedures.

Here are some of the demands;
- a) Immediately take down the infringing song off all media platforms.
- b) Offer a formal apology for the aforesaid infringement and publicize the same on all media platforms where your infringing song is being played. c) Pay damages to our client of Ugx.300,000,000(Uganda Shillings Three Hundred million)
- d) Pay our costs thus far incurred, totalling to Ugx.20,000,000(Uganda Shillings Twenty million)
