Today 23rd July 2024 has been the day for the much popularized Anti-Corruption March to Parliament protest. And by 8 AM many youths had stormed the streets to do their peaceful march to parliament. Here is the full list of the arrested protesters today.
The march was still good until the heavily deployed security personnel started to arrest whoever had participated and keeping them at Central Police Station in Kampala. The arrested were given chances to use their phones briefly and they were confiscated after a short time again.
“They had confiscated our phones but they’ve now briefly given them back and asked us to switch them off. We’re still at CPS. My lawyer @Kawukitadeo tells me we’ll be arraigned in court today.” a one Melvin Nasasira updated his X account with the tweet.
The list of the arrested March to Parliament protesters goes as; Karungi Hamza, Bernard Olupot (aka Beewol), Ntume, Okanya, Lutaaya, Kivumbi, Shaka, Angumya, Tabamubi, Mbinga, Byakutaganza, Karungi, Tayebwa, Derrick, Siperia, Grace, Kirya, Marvin Kawuma, Faiza Fabz, Thomas Owishemwe, Namutyaba, Sserunkuma.

More on the list are; Kirya Ug, Wikiriza, Nipsey, Nuwagaba, Praise, Kennedy, Jeremiah, Matovu, Nuwenuwe, Yiga, Wambi, Wamala, Shabilzs, Mukwaya, Ssempija, Melanin, and many others that are yet to be identified. So far, there has not been any death registered only that force is being used to arrest the protesters.
