Musician managers play a key role in the career of a musician. They either make an artiste or break them for different reasons. Below is the list of the top ten music managers in Uganda as of 2024 and their hit songs they have so far released under their record labels.
Sam Mukasa
He might not be much known to the public but Sam Mukasa is the force behind King Saha. He has helped the Muliranwa singer to become one of the top singers in the country. Saha might seem problematic to some sections of the public but Mukasa has helped to harmonize him with these critics for business.
More so, Sam Mukasa has ever managed Jose Chameleone, Young Mulo and the two released many hit projects although the two were always on and off.
Sir Jaylor
Her real name is Jaylor Birungi, and she’s the manager of singer Priscilla Zawedde alias Azawi. There is no denying that the Masavu singer has been one of the top singers for the past few years. And Sir Jaylor is partly one of the reasons.
Jaylor is less in the news for the reasons well know to him, but he has helped Azawi to be in the top three female artistes in Uganda for a long time. His artiste management style is very unique as we see that his artiste is ever on top and doing well crafted music all the time. This makes him be in the top ten music managers in Uganda 2024.
Bushingtone
This name is very popular and actually more than the face. But Bushingtone has been in the game for quite some years. He was once the manager of Lydia Jazmine and helped to launch her career which was somehow stuck.
He later on parted ways with Lydia and start to do undercover artiste management which has seen him uplift very many talents. And to gauge his management art, when he parted with Lydia Jazmine, her career deemed again despite her having various hit songs in the industry.
Karma Ivien
Most of us got to know him during the rise of local rapper Fik Fameica. He definitely helped the now established singer to become a household name. They later split over financial issues after Fik’s maiden concert at Freedom City. Later he briefly managed other singers such as Pallaso and Kapa Cat.
He went into an artiste management break until he appeared in the news revealing how he had resumed his duties of holding talents afloat.
Emma Carlos
This was a common name in the music industry in the early 2010’s especially during the prime of dancehall singer Coco Finger. He would go on to work with Kalifah Aganaga. However, he later took a break but is not in the game once again with Coco Finger still and Mariam Kugonza.
He also was too much in the news for misunderstandings with his artistes, and he was always known as the problematic artiste manager.
Steve Jean
Well, he might largely be known for his production under Fenon Records, but he’s also a top manager. He has been in the industry for over two decades now. He founded and managed Blu 3 which included Cindy, Jackie Chandiru and Lillian Mbabazi. Steve also gave rise to the likes of Juliana Kanyomozi and Iryn Namubiru.
Currently he manages Warafiki Girls and they are doing so good, he also attemoted to bring back the Blu3 girls group together, he staged a concert for them for their ‘come back’ but it seems things never went on as planned.
Martin Beta Muhumuza
Commonly known as Beta, he manages Eddy Kenzo. And he’s largely been responsible for the singer blowing up on the international scene. They have been together for over a decade now. And he has been clean all the time without controversies or sagas.
Roger Lubega
You cannot mention the name Spice Diana and not mention Roger Lubega aka Manager Rodger. He has built the singer from scratch to a household name. The Source Management boss has been there since day one. Before, he managed the likes of Ziza Bafana, Opa Fambo, Mosh Mavoko and Pallaso.
Swangz Avenue
Well having been a singer before, Benon Mugumbya surely knows the game very well and no wonder his label together with Julius Kyazze has been successful. The label manages musicians such as Vinka, Winnie Nwagi, Elijah Kitaka, Azawi partly and Zafaran. The label not only manages them but also makes them.
Jeff Kiwa
Who if not him? He’s definitely the godfather of the game as he’s managed and made more stars single handedly than anyone. He started out as Dr. Jose Chameleone’s manager in the 2000’s. However, he broke away with Radio & Weasel and made them huge.
He however fell out with the duo and went ahead to form his own label known as Team No Sleep (TNS) In there he managed the likes of Sheebah Karungi who he built, the late AK47, Pallaso and Beenie Gunter. When Sheebah left TNS he replaced her with Rahmah Pinky but later fired her over indiscipline.

Currently he manages Ava Peace, Jowy Landa, Nina Roz among others. That is the updated list of the top ten artiste managers in the Ugandan music industry.
