It has come to our attention that top Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) Generals have perished in a car accident along Masaka Road. This tragic event happened today morning and the deceased have been identified and UPDF has confirmed this tragic news and gave a way forward.
This accident happened at Lukaya exactly and Brig. Gen RTD Kyambadde and Brig Gen Fred Twinamasiko are the one who died in this Masaka road accident at Lukaya this morning. It is further known that, Brig Gen Fred Twinamasiko served as the Director of Training and Doctrine for Land Forces.
Reports from the UPDF indicate that, the two were traveling in a vehicle number H4DF2588, Col. Deo Akiki the deputy spokesperson of the UPDF confirmed the news in a statement, and said that it is a huge blow for the Defense Forces and it will take time to recover from this tragic accident.
“The UPDF fraternity has lost two members, Brig. Gen RTD Kyambadde and Brig Gen Fred Twinamasiko in a tragic accident in Lukaya while driving vehicle number H4DF2588. We have lost strong men and it is a huge blow to the forces” he said.
