City lawyer Mahad Gumirason passed away from his wounds after being attacked in Mityana district about two weeks ago by goons brandishing machetes. The lawyer was taken to Rubaga Hospital following the incident, where he underwent brain surgery. The medical personnel were still tending to him on Thursday, May 300, 2024, at the time of his death. Mahad Gumirason had previously represented the youth as a district councilor for Mityana. Authorities have confirmed that a Gulu pilgrim has died after traveling more than 290 kilometers to Namugongo in Wakiso District for the annual June 3 Martyrs’ Day. Two suspects, known as Adeyemi Tosin and Rotimi Boluwatife, have been detained by the Nigerian police over sexual misconduct. Temitope Ojo and Alimo Karimu are the two women who were sexually assaulted after narcotics were added to their noodles to induce sleep by these two men. News coming in show that, various Members of Parliament on Uganda Parliamentary Alliance on Food and Nutrition Security have urged residents in Kamwenge district to intensify efforts of fighting malnutrition. This effort comes in after a survey that was placed in Kamwenge as the district with the second-highest number of malnutrition cases in Uganda.
