A fraudulent plan offering lucrative job opportunities in Israel has resulted in the loss of Shs 22 million per person  for at least 43 Ugandans who fell victim to an Israel jobs recruitment scam. This has left several Ugandans in tears after being promised fake jobs in Israel.  Jackline Mbulateire and Andrew Sekimuli, two Ugandans, are said to have planned the heist on these innocent Ugandans. National IDs cards that have expired will continue to be valid for a minimum of one year after the government fell behind on the renewal timetable. Most national IDs have a 10-year validity period and were issued between 2014 and 2015. Yet to be known lives have been lost amongst other properties after the Lusanja-Kitezi landfill collapsed and covered several houses. It should be noted that Kitezi landfill located in Mpererwe is Uganda’s largest and only sanitary engineered landfill.
